Ten Things I Hate About Life – An Original Poem By Me.
I’m having a bad day. Well, I wasn’t having a bad day. But then…people happened.
What is wrong with people anymore? There is such a lack of compassion, kindness and empathy for others, it’s appalling. Everywhere I go, this is all I find.
I’ve never seen so many negative, judgmental and downright cruel people in all my life. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE? And then we all sit around pondering why so many of us are depressed.
The sad part is, these people are more than likely either oblivious to themselves – or worse – they’re so self-absorbed, they feel entitled and above others, therefore justifying their behavior to themselves.
I don’t know how many of you know this, but the prevalence of narcissistic tendencies has risen dramatically in recent years. Especially with the popularity of social media platforms.
Well. I’ve written a special poem, inspired by these….ugh. People. The people that are like this, you know who you are. Think about what you say and what you do before you do it. I think we could all learn to treat each other a lot better than we do.
Kindness is, after all, free.
“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela
Dedicated to the not so nice people in the world –
Ten Things I Hate About Life
I hate the way these people stare
And all the trendy clothes they wear
I hate what’s happened to this place
I hate this human life rat race
Everyone just acts so fake
I hate that I cannot escape
I hate the sadness that I feel
I wish that none of it was real
This life is not what it should be
The chaos and insanity
It doesn’t have to be this way
Emotions aren’t a game you play
I hate that no one even cares
No one will listen, it’s just not fair
The part of life I hate the most
Most just don’t get it, not even a little, not even close.
I think my poem, Ten Things I Hate About Life, has spoken for me quite well. I wish it was able to make people see the way they treat each other. If I had the capability to change the world, I would.

I created a shareable version of my poem as well, feel free to share away.
“The best people possess a feeling for beauty, the courage to take risks, the discipline to tell the truth, the capacity for sacrifice. Ironically, their virtues make them vulnerable; they are often wounded, sometimes destroyed.” -Hemingway
I can only try.
