Anxiety Symptoms

Anxiety symptoms can vary from person to person. Triggers are also different for everyone. What are some of the symptoms you experience, and what are your triggers?

    I used to have panic attacks, but I learned in my 20's how to control them. I haven't had a full blown panic attack in years. My anxiety tends to become worse when I'm feeling overwhelmed, or when I know I have something to do that I don't want to do. I have social anxiety as well, so I feel awkward and uncomfortable around new people. Certain situations can trigger it, but I am learning how to deal with it better. I'm pushing myself to do things, even when I don't want to. I want to be able to do even more, and I have set some goals for myself that I am determined to reach.

    Has anyone ever had experiences where you got the feeling someone was standing behind you, so strongly that you turn around, expecting someone to be there? Or when you're doing things, even driving, think you see something out of the corner of your eye, and it freaks you out for a moment, but you realize nothing is there? I didn't know if this was a symptom of or being caused by anxiety, or if it was something else. Does anyone know anything about this?
